Travel Gear

We frequently get asked what our travel kit is, so here is all our essentials from tech to suitcases. The tech we use is constantly evolving and we have recently added some more gadgets to our kitbag to make bigger and better content for all of you.

Just so you know, if you click on an item and purchase it through our link we’ll get a small commission. These amounts help us keep creating more content for you and we are grateful for everyone’s support.

Top Travel Gadgets

1) Dell XPS13. This is my go to laptop. The form factor with a 13″ screen is perfect for travel. The version I have comes with an i7 processor, 16GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD. This is more than enough juice for anyone wanting to get into the world of blogging or editing videos on the go. My alternative would be a MPB 13″, but i’m just not a big fan of apple ecosystem, because I am too stubborn to switch to a new operating system I know little about.

2) Pixel 5. Yes, I don’t have a professional camera. Although you probably already knew that from my photography skills on show! I find that the camera on the Pixel 5 is more than sufficient for what I am wanting to do. Plus I don’t like carrying too many things with me when travelling. What do you think, should I add a dedicated camera for pictures? Any recommendations?

3) GoPro Hero 9. Wow, I am in love with the front screen, being able to see your work live really helps in capturing the best shots. Can’t wait to get my teeth stuck into this.

4) GoPro Karma stick is incredible at stabilising your footage. By far the best purchase I have recently made and can’t wait to get more use out of it.

5) Making up the rear are my trusted Anker travel power bank and Jaybird Vista wireless earphones. The earphones have this lock in feature which means they are great for when you are on the go. I can go for a run, sit on a plane or be making content and they are spot on for every situation.

Non tech stuff

Now I don’t want to sound like a product review blog or advertising page so will keep this brief. The Bellroy is the perfect wallet, hands down. I use the card sleeve day to day but when travelling its the slim wallet that comes out to play. They are a little on the expensive side with the slim wallet costing around £75, but I have had mine for 3 years now and it is holding strong. If you are a guy and need a new wallet I have no hesitations about recommending Bellroy.

Our trusted suitcase, Elly’s choice, is the Antler. Indestructible style is how I refer to it. Easy to roll and great control at all angles. Elly and I are looking for a medium backpack to make us more versatile on our adventures. If you have any recommendations please leave a comment below.
